Plants

The Polly Hill Arboretum is home to rare trees and shrubs from around the world with the primary focus of our collection on the floras of Martha’s Vineyard, the Atlantic Coastal Plain, and eastern Asia.

Our collection includes Polly’s famous North Tisbury azaleas, the national stewartia collection, camellias, clematis, crabapples, magnolias, calycanthus (pictured here) and many more.

Specific collections information may be viewed here.

Just as museums label their collections, our living collection is also labeled. These display labels provide basic information on most of our plants.

DELAY IN OPENING NOTICE: Due to anticipated inclement weather, the Arboretum will open to the public at 10am on Sunday, February 9.
