Join PHA Horticulturist/Arborist Ian Jochems for a look at the basics of horticulture. The class will cover the essentials of how to plant everything from seeds and bulbs to shrubs and trees. Participants will learn about pruning, tool use, proper plant care, mulches, soil amendments, basic integrated pest management (IPM), and will get hands-on practice with various tools. This class will be entirely in the field; participants should dress appropriately and bring gardening gloves.
