Join instructor Genevieve Jacobs to learn how to preserve the shapes and patterns of leaves, bark, and other flat and textured objects with frottage, a craft that utilizes pigmented wax cakes, pencils, graphite, or even crayons to rub these shapes and textures onto various surfaces. Turn your rubbings into framed art or greeting cards, use them for scrapbooking or journaling, or simply to preserve nature’s beauty. Guaranteed to be fun, relaxing, and useful! Materials will be provided by the instructor. The group will collect plant materials on the PHA grounds at the beginning of the class, but participants are also welcome to bring their own leaves and flattened plant items.
