The Natural Neighbors program—developed in partnership with BiodiversityWorks, the Village and Wilderness Project, and the Martha’s Vineyard Vision Fellowship—promotes conservation of Martha’s Vineyard’s flora and fauna through environmental education and customized management recommendations, reshaping perceptions on what is a productive yard. Natural Neighbors Program Director Angela Luckey will discuss the importance of thoughtful backyard management to increase native plant diversity, emphasizing the connections between plants, arthropods, birds, and other animals to support a balanced and dynamic system of producers and consumers. After the presentation, individuals can sign up for a free consultation with Angela to learn the specific ways that they can create habitat and increase biodiversity on their own property.

MV Wildtype plugs, grown at PHA, will be on display with information on their use and culture.
