The Polly Hill Arboretum has taken a leadership role in facilitating the work of scientists from a diverse array of backgrounds. We support investigative work that fosters a better understanding of the unique living organisms that occur here on Martha's Vineyard and the adjacent islands.

This work is funded by donations, grants, and colloborative working relationships across many scientific disciplines.

One unique project carried out over the last three years is the biological inventory of Nomans island.

As we gather and publish data we will post it on our website for examination and review.
